Dear Friends,
The word has been following me around for days: magic.
So, I invited it for lunch.
We sat and shared about our lives.
Magic shared a desire to return, to be better known, this time around. It reminded me that before religion and science, it took a particular form. And now, it can take another.
No rituals are required beyond a decision, it said. The collapsing of the field of possibility into that and not anything else.
But where does that decision take place?, I asked.
Laughter.
//
We finished lunch and went for a walk.
It showed me representations of the forms it may take now.
Where do you feel me in you, magic asked? Where does it start?
The magic is asking to be felt first, then expressed. In whatever form is right for that moment.
Create space for it. Invite it in. Let the scepticism, the doubt, the disbelief hang out by the door and don’t let them in. They can speak to us on the way out, and make us question what happened inside. They have their place. But not in the space where magic thrives.
//
I will invite magic into my dreams tonight and ask for clues and hints and ideas to take form tomorrow.
Thank you for being here with me, now.
Warmly,
Graham
